Nowadays tales have become commercial goods. They were made into
films, cartoons and comics with the result that they lost their original aims.
They decreased to the level of empty entertainment and got deformed.
They lost their intellectual and spiritual values.
 
However, tales are -like every relic- rich, twisted and have deep meanings.
Fables can enchant you, contains hidden and unspoken solutions. Primarily they were
addressed to adults and  passed on the ancient experiences and knowledge.
The mythical images of tales reach the roots of the genesis and mediate the
concept of world for children.
 
Fables help the development of the fantasy and the personal identity. Its
language is magical and creative of the people who want to get to know the
universe. The aim of the tales is to produce an own inner image for children
during the listening of the fables in order to create their spiritual qualities.
It is useful to tell a tale several times into your children because they need time to
enter fully into the spirit of its world, the mental tension and their examption.
 
Save the tales!
My purpose is about saving tales told by our grandparents and tell them to their grandchildren.
There’s an opportunity to record the tales of the parents and play them  to our
grandchildren and the moral lesson of fables become a help aid for them even in
the future. That’s why I designed the Tale Pillow which can give a chance not to
lose the tales once for all.
 
 
What is Tale Pillow?
Tale Pillow can be a tale-teller, a parent, a doll or just a pillow on which children
may fell into sweet dream. My aim is to get them listen to traditional fables and their
national mythologies before sleeping. It contains tales, you can start to play by rushing
the buttons hidden on the side of the pillow. There’s an opportunity to record the tales
(the voice) of the parents and play them again with that dictaphone function.
It is possible for older children to take part in the action and influence the story.
These are interactive fables and can be games and lessons for their further life.
Children can decide at different points in the tale what to do and learn the
positive or negative consequence of their decision. Later they can choose other
ways for the right solution and make their observations.
I hope that tales will survive so that we can learn from them and enjoy them
also in the future!
